X-Rays of Surgeries for your interest
This little dog (X-ray pictured in the example of plating surgery below) went to another vet, where treatment was provided by putting the dogs forearm in a cast.
After 8 weeks with no improvement the owner was advised to have the forearm amputated.
At this point the owners sought a secondary opinion and brought their little dog to see our Veterinary team at Hanly Veterinary Clinic and Hospital.
We took X-rays followed by repairing the joint with plating surgery. This little dog is completely recovered, living a normal happy life and is no longer in pain.
This is an example of Plating surgery.
